FAQs

What is health coaching?

A health coach is a collaborative support system that empowers individuals to take an active role in their well-being by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and confidence. Rather than simply rescuing patients, health coaching focuses on teaching patients how to navigate their own health journeys. This approach aligns with the adage, "Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime."

What do health coaches do?

Health coaches help people reach their health goals by working with them to identify and overcome challenges. They do this by asking questions that help people think about their goals in a new way, and by providing support and encouragement.

Once you've identified your challenges, the health coach can help you develop a plan to overcome them. This might include things like setting small, achievable goals, finding healthy recipes, or making changes to your environment.

Health coaching is not about telling people what to do. It's about helping people find their own motivation and make changes that they can stick with. If you're looking for support to reach your health goals, a health coach can be a valuable resource.

Here are some additional benefits of working with a health coach:

  • Health coaches can help you develop a personalized plan to reach your goals.

  • They can provide support and encouragement along the way.

  • They can help you overcome challenges and stay motivated.

What do health coaches not do?

A health coach cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions, prescribe medications, or perform medical procedures. They do not replace the need for medical care or provide specific medical advice. Health coaches focus on supporting individuals in making positive lifestyle changes, such as nutrition and exercise, rather than managing acute or chronic medical conditions. They do not perform clinical procedures, make decisions about medication or dosages, or provide emergency medical care. While health coaches play a valuable role in promoting overall well-being, they should not be considered as a substitute for medical professionals or emergency services.

What are the benefits of health coaching?

Health coaching can help you make lasting changes to your health. Health coaches can help you identify your goals, develop a plan to reach those goals, and provide support and accountability along the way. If you're ready to make some positive changes to your health, consider working with a health coach.

What kind of clients do you work with?

Individuals who want a holistic approach to have optimal health and performance. They are highly motivated and committed to making lasting changes in their lives. They are tired of feeling tired, sluggish, and out of shape. They want to live a life of vitality and energy. They want to be the best versions of themselves, both physically, mentally and spiritually. I am able to work with other individuals on a case by case basis.

What type of personality do I work best with?

I work best with people who are open to change and who are willing to put in the effort to achieve their goals. They are not looking for a quick fix, but for a sustainable lifestyle change. They are willing to be accountable for their actions and to make a commitment to their health.

What is expected of me?

As a client, you are expected to be open and honest with me about your goals and your challenges. You are also expected to be willing to put in the work to achieve your goals. This may include making changes to your diet, your exercise routine, and your lifestyle. I will be there to support you every step of the way, but you are the one who has to make the changes.

For who is this program not going to work?

This program is not for everyone. It is designed for people who are committed to making changes in their lives and who are willing to put in the work. If you are not ready to commit, this program is not for you.

Coaching is a process that requires effort from both the coach and the client. The coach will provide guidance and support, but the client is responsible for making the changes. If you are not willing to do the work, coaching will not be effective.

If you are not sure if this program is right for you, please schedule a free consultation. We can discuss your goals and see if coaching is the best way to help you achieve them.
